HMR Contracting, a respected and family-owned excavation contractor with a rich history of delivering top-notch excavation and vegetation control services, is actively seeking a skilled Excavation Operator to join our close-knit team. Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain a variety of excavation equipment, including diggers ranging from 1.5 to 20 tonnes, with a focus on utilizing different attachments.
• Perform manual labor tasks as required for project needs.
• Construct retaining walls and contribute to vegetation control efforts.
• Ensure basic gear maintenance and adherence to health and safety procedures on-site.
• Liaise effectively with clients and collaborate with the onsite team for project success.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in operating 1.5 – 20 tonne diggers.
• WTR (Wheels, Tracks & Rollers) endorsement is a minimum requirement.
• Glass 5 license and truck driving experience are preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree or relevant coursework is a plus.
• Strong work ethic, PR skills, and effective communication.
• Previous experience in excavation and construction.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team.
• Flexibility with work hours and availability to work weekends when required.
