Job Description:

Meadow Mushrooms, a leading mushroom producer in Christchurch, Canterbury, is currently hiring for the position of Harvester/Mushroom Picker. This is a permanent, full-time role with a 7 am start time and a requirement to work both days of the weekend. Finish times vary based on daily production requirements, and candidates must be available until daily duties are completed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Picking and sorting mushrooms into appropriate grades.
• Fast and efficient handwork with a keen eye for detail.
• Working on your feet throughout the day in a production environment.
• Complying with food safety requirements and maintaining high standards.
• Working at heights and operating a lorry/lift.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Full training provided; no prior experience necessary.
• Positive attitude towards Health and Safety/Food Safety.
• Ability to lift 15kgs and maintain physical fitness.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills; reasonable English proficiency required.
• High motivation to meet individual, team, and company targets for quality and pick rate.
• Commitment to long-term employment.
