Job Description:

As a Farmhand, you will play a crucial role in the daily operations of our chicken farm. Your responsibilities will include:

• Livestock Care: Provide daily care and attention to our feathered residents, ensuring their well-being and health.
• Feeding and Nutrition: Assist in feeding chickens and maintaining proper nutrition standards.
• Farm Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning coops, repairing fences, and ensuring a clean and organized working environment.
• Health Monitoring: Monitor and report any signs of illness or distress among the flock.
• Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment as needed.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in farming or agriculture is preferred but not required.
• Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic and a genuine passion for animal care.
• Ability to follow directions and work well within a team.
• Basic understanding of farm equipment and machinery.

Additional Requirements:

• Must be able to work weekends on a roster basis.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Must reside in NZ.
• Right to work in NZ.
