Job Description:

As a Dairy Farm Assistant, you will be an integral part of our farming team, assisting the Farm Manager in achieving production and profitability targets. Working closely with an Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for a herd of 920 cows, participating in a rotating roster of 6 days on and 2 days off.

Responsibilities:

1. Milking Operations: Efficient and hygienic milking routines to produce high-quality milk.
2. Animal Care: Safe handling of animals, reporting health and welfare issues, and a proactive approach to animal management.
3. Feeding and Stock Management: Assist with feeding stock on-farm and growing young stock, adjusting feed needs during lactation.
4. Team Collaboration: Work as part of a team or independently, displaying a positive 'can-do' attitude.
5. Environmental Commitment: Adherence to environmentally friendly farming practices.

Requirements:

• 1-2 years of previous full-time work experience (preferably in agriculture/dairy).
• Clear communication skills.
• Self-motivation, initiative, and a passion for dairy farming.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full clean driver's license.
