Growth Farms Australia (GFA) is a privately owned agricultural asset management business dedicated to enhancing farm assets and delivering investor returns. We work in collaboration with Meurer Pastoral to manage farming enterprises in southern NSW and northern VIC, ensuring the effective implementation of Farm Plans.

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a Full-Time Assistant Farm Manager for our property in Bowna near Albury, with a primary focus on wool and beef breeding and trading. Covering over 3,500 hectares and supporting 35,000 DSE, this role provides an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team and gain exposure to further training and development, offering potential for future career growth.

Responsibilities:

1. Work closely with the Farm Manager to implement the Farm Plan effectively.
2. Manage and oversee wool and beef breeding and trading operations on the property.
3. Utilize strong livestock skills, including working with quality dogs, to enhance livestock management.
4. Operate and maintain farm machinery, ensuring proper maintenance and safety protocols.
5. Uphold a positive workplace culture, promoting teamwork and a commitment to high standards.
6. Demonstrate a solid work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work autonomously.
7. Ensure compliance with safe work practices and environmental regulations.
8. Actively contribute to the development and improvement of livestock skills and working dogs on the property.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Experience in sheep and cattle husbandry, pasture, and grazing management.
• Superior livestock skills, including working with quality dogs on large-scale grazing properties.
• Proficiency in farm maintenance and machinery operation.
• Solid work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work autonomously.
• Understanding of safe work practices and compliance with regulations.
• Excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work independently.
• Physical fitness to fulfill all requirements of the role.
• Valid driver's license.
