Job Description:

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Station Hand to join our team at our Coleraine, Horsham & Grampians operations. As a Station Hand, you will not only be responsible for day-to-day station duties but will also actively participate in key animal husbandry tasks, pasture monitoring, record keeping, hay and silage making activities, machinery operation, and basic maintenance. This is a full-time position offering a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of our agricultural endeavors.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with planning and managing key animal husbandry tasks
• Monitor pastures and maintain accurate records
• Participate in hay and silage making activities
• Operate machinery and assist with basic maintenance, service, and repair
• Check stock waters and assist with maintenance, service, and repair of water infrastructure and fencing
• Collaborate with the team to achieve operational goals
• Adhere to safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environment

Requirements:

• Minimum 1-year experience working with cattle and sheep
• Machinery operation and general farm maintenance experience highly desirable
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products
