Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as a Full-Time Farm Ranger. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of our farm, contributing to the overall success of Waytemore Farms Ltd.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily patrols of the farm to ensure the well-being and health of livestock.
- Monitor and maintain pasture and grazing areas, implementing rotational grazing practices.
- Oversee and assist in the planting, cultivation, and harvesting of crops.
- Perform routine maintenance on farm equipment and facilities.
- Implement and adhere to sustainable farming practices.
- Respond to emergencies, such as inclement weather, and ensure the safety of both personnel and animals.
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve production targets and maintain high-quality standards.
- Keep accurate records of farm activities, including inventory and animal health.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in farm management or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of livestock care and farming practices.
- Ability to operate and maintain farm equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Good physical condition, as the role involves manual labor and outdoor work.
- Knowledge of sustainable farming practices is a plus.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Relevant certifications or degrees in agriculture or a related field are a plus.
