With programs in 138 schools across Australia, we're on a mission to support the needs, interests, and aspirations of our incredible community.

The Gig: Program Coordinator

As the Program Coordinator, you'll be the maestro orchestrating the Follow the Dream program at Northern Bay College in Geelong. Reporting to the Program Manager, you'll be the driving force behind student engagement, academic support, and community collaboration.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and select students for the Follow the Dream program.
  • Case manage and mentor students, monitoring their academic progress.
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to provide subject advice and career guidance.
  • Organize extracurricular activities like camps and excursions.
  • Recruit and manage program tutors.
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, teachers, and community stakeholders.
  • Ensure program compliance with Aboriginal education requirements.

Requirements:

  • Formal teaching degree or equivalent qualifications.
  • Extensive knowledge of teaching and learning practices, especially for Aboriginal students.
  • Experience engaging with and working within Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander communities.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage physical and financial resources.
  • Current Victorian working with children's check and driver's license.
