We are currently seeking dedicated and motivated individuals to join our team as General Greenhouse Workers at either our Brighton, CO (North Facility) or Golden, CO (Foothills/Table Mountain Facilities).

Job Description:

As a General Greenhouse Worker, you will work with our various teams throughout the greenhouse to ensure the production of the highest quality plants for our customers. General Greenhouse Workers may be assigned to different processes/departments depending on the time of the year and report directly to an Operations Supervisor. This is a seasonal, full-time position with a focus on maintaining plant health and greenhouse functionality.

Responsibilities:

• Work within greenhouse teams to assure quality products are delivered to our customers, maintain area cleanliness, follow instructions, and act in accordance with rules and regulations set by TGE.
• Perform various tasks related to seeding, sticking, planting, mixing soil, and preparing growing media.
• Move containerized plants or trays using racks on wheels (rolling carts).
• Work on greenhouse ranges, transplanting, attaching hangers, crimping wire baskets, wrapping coverings, and other related tasks.
• Install and maintain irrigation systems and water lines.
• Assist with building, maintaining, or repairing greenhouse/farm areas and structures.
• Collate, warehouse, dock, and assist with shipping and receiving processes as needed.

Qualifications:

• Must be 17 years or older and eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to work in all greenhouse conditions, including wet, humid, dusty, dirty, and extreme hot/cold temperatures.
• Physical capability to lift and move weights up to 25 pounds regularly, push/pull racks on wheels of up to 100 pounds frequently, and occasionally move benches or product of up to 50 pounds.
• Job requires employees to be on their feet for long periods of time, sit, climb, balance, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Specific vision abilities required, including close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
• Must be able to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with clients, other greenhouse teams, managers, and coworkers.
• Entry-level position - no previous experience required, but preference is given to workers with at least 3 months of relevant experience in greenhouse, manual labor, factory, repetitive motion, agriculture, or other relevant work experience.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock. To prevent injury, employees must abide by the safety procedures set by Tagawa Greenhouse Ent., LLC. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Seasonal Work:

Temporary workers may be hired as Seasonal Workers for the company's peak season. Seasonal Workers do not have the same company benefits as year-round workers and are typically laid off at the end of a season. The end of the peak season can fluctuate based on sales but is projected for our upcoming season as early June 2024. Hours during peak season for General Greenhouse Workers vary from 35-55+ hours per week but average at approximately 45 hours per week.
