Situated on the prestigious property in Keysbrook, just 15 minutes from Pinjarra, Heytesbury Farms operates as a cattle breeding business with approximately 100 Angus breeders and followers. This 750-acre picturesque property houses a substantial family Estate home, mostly used for holidays and weekends, along with four other occupied dwellings and numerous outbuildings. Heytesbury Farms is looking for a dedicated Part-Time Farm Hand / Caretaker to join our small and supportive team.

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Farm Manager, this part-time role will provide weekend cover and security on the property on a rotational basis. Your responsibilities will include checking and monitoring cattle, water supplies, and general farm security. Additionally, you will assist with mowing lawns, gardening, and general property maintenance, totaling approximately 10 hours per week. Your earnings will offset your accommodation costs of $360 per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Weekend cattle checks, water supply monitoring, and general farm security.
• Lawn mowing, gardening, and property maintenance.
• Assisting with farm equipment and machinery operation (tractors, slashers, tipping trailers, ride-on lawn mowers, chainsaws, and whipper snippers).
• Maintaining a clean and organized living environment.

Qualifications:

• Previous cattle experience and familiarity with rural property living are essential.
• Experience with farm equipment and machinery is advantageous.
• Clean living with a positive and honest disposition.
• Full unrestricted working rights for Australia are required.
