Duration: Seasonal position from mid-November to mid-December

As we approach the holiday season, we are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Holiday Nursery Associates.

Description:

We are seeking energetic and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Nursery Associates for the holiday season. As a Nursery Associate at Esbenshade's Garden Centers, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service, helping customers choose the perfect Christmas trees, and creating a festive atmosphere within our nursery department. This is a seasonal, full-time position that offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and customer-focused environment. Candidates are also welcome to return for future seasonal positions, such as during our Spring season.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service with a smile, demonstrating patience and enthusiasm.
• Assist customers in choosing fresh cut and balled Christmas trees, providing expert advice and guidance.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the nursery area, including removing trash and sweeping walks.
• Unwrap, price, and display Christmas trees in the nursery area.
• Assist with loading and unloading customer vehicles and delivery trucks.
• Operate the nursery register, handling customer transactions accurately.
• Learn and promote our Customer Loyalty Card Program.
• Willingly perform duties assigned by supervisors or management personnel.
• Adhere to safety rules and exercise caution in all activities.

Education and Experience:

• Basic knowledge of trees and shrubs is helpful but not required.
• Willingness to learn and operate small electric chain saw and tree drill.
• Simple computer experience or eagerness to learn.
• Ability to operate a cash register (training will be provided).

Time Requirements:

• Availability to work evenings and Saturdays.
• Availability to work the day after Thanksgiving (Holiday Eve of Joy celebration).

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.).
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods (up to 6-8 hours).
• Ability to work in all weather conditions, including cold weather, rain, snow, and sleet.
