Position Summary:

The Production Labourer plays a crucial role in our manufacturing process. Responsibilities include branding, framing, inspecting, and preparing products for treatment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform general labor tasks in the processing and manufacturing of wood products.
• Operate chainsaws, hand tools, tag, clean, and prepare products.
• Operate mill equipment.
• Perform banding and packaging of products.
• Maintain tools, equipment, supplies, and work areas.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Core Competencies:

• Preferred experience in manufacturing or construction.
• Experience with hand tools, including drills, peaveys, chainsaws, wizards, hammers, and tape measures, is an asset.
• Strong commitment to safety.
• Team player who fosters a respectful environment.
• Basic math skills.
• Knowledge of wood products and defects.
• Willingness to learn and acquire new skills.
• Additional forestry skills such as log scaling, loader operation, log peeling, and other machine operations are valuable assets for career advancement within the yard.
• In-house training is provided.
