Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Kiwifruit Orchard Worker to join our team on a full-time basis. As an essential part of our orchard operations, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the health and productivity of our kiwifruit vines.
Responsibilities:
- Pruning, training, and caring for kiwifruit vines
- Harvesting kiwifruit to meet quality standards
- Implementing organic pest and disease management practices
- Maintaining irrigation systems
- Conducting orchard maintenance tasks, including weeding
- Operating and maintaining orchard equipment
- Sorting and packing kiwifruit for market
- Adhering to organic certification requirements
- Participating in team meetings and training sessions
- Assisting with record-keeping and data collection
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in kiwifruit or orchard work is essential
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and physical fitness
- Familiarity with organic farming practices is advantageous
- Reliable and punctual with excellent communication skills
- Own transport is required
