The Opportunity:

• Full training provided
• Permanent position
• Hornby location
• 8:00 AM start time
• Monday - Friday
• Finish times vary based on daily production requirements (work until daily duties are completed)

The Role:

As a Shed Hand at Meadow Mushrooms, your responsibilities will include:

• Boxing out sheds and delivering products to the dispatch department.
• Maintaining a constant supply of trays and materials for the Harvesters.
• Assisting in general shed duties related to clearing, cleaning, hygiene, and maintenance.
• Cleaning all equipment (lorries, scales, prams, ladders, etc.).
• Ensuring lorries are fully charged and moving them as required.
• Moving full skip bins to designated areas and replacing them with empty ones.
• Replacing foot mats with required chemicals every 3 hours and ensuring they are cleaned at the start of each day before a new Harvesting shift begins.
• Performing other general duties as required.

You Will Have:

• Physical fitness and the ability to lift and carry products.
• Good communication skills, with a reasonable level of English proficiency.
• Teamwork skills and a positive, motivated attitude with a good attendance record.
• A commitment to health and safety and food safety.
• Your own reliable transportation.
• A positive attitude toward health & safety and food safety.
• The ability to stay focused.
• Previous experience working in a warehouse environment is beneficial.

Requirements:

Applicants for this role must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa and currently reside in New Zealand. This role is not suitable for those seeking short-term employment due to the required training.
