Hello, everyone! SINGH HORTICULTURE is looking for individuals to join our kiwifruit orchard team, starting work on Tuesday or Wednesday. We are currently involved in various orchard activities, including thinning, tipping, and training canes. Our company is known for providing excellent hourly wages and a friendly working environment. Job Description:
As a Kiwifruit Orchard Worker at SINGH HORTICULTURE, your role will encompass the following tasks:
- Thinning: Ensuring that the kiwifruit crop is appropriately spaced to promote optimal growth.
- Tipping: Trimming and shaping the vines to encourage healthy fruit development.
- Training Canes: Assisting with the training of kiwifruit canes to the support structure.
Compensation:
- Hourly wage of $24 plus 8% holiday pay.
- We do not provide accommodation or transportation, so having access to a car or a carpool partner is essential.
Work Location:
All work activities are spread across the beautiful regions of Te Puke, Penagaroa, and Pukehina.
Requirements:
- A valid working visa or Working Holiday Visa (WHV) is required for employment. We cannot hire under the SSE scheme.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Good physical fitness is necessary for tasks that involve bending and lifting.
- Reliable transportation is crucial due to the location of the orchards.
