IT Support Engineer

We have a permanent opportunity available to join our Helpdesk team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support, including access provisioning, troubleshooting, installation, and configuration of end-user laptops, Point of Sale systems, peripheral equipment, network components, and software applications.
  • Employ a methodical approach to troubleshoot complex issues, meticulously documenting and sharing your findings.
  • Ensure all support calls are accurately recorded and maintained in the IT Service Management (ITSM) System.
  • Communicate in a friendly, professional, and easy-to-understand manner with all stakeholders, translating IT jargon into plain language.
  • Take ownership of issues, escalating to other teams when necessary to achieve resolution.
  • Collaborate effectively within the team to balance and prioritize workloads.
  • Identify opportunities for streamlining repetitive tasks.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a large corporate help desk environment.
  • Strong technical skills, with specific expertise in PowerShell.
  • Proficiency in researching and resolving complex issues in the desktop environment.
  • Proven experience coaching end-users and efficiently managing workloads to align with business needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of handling customers at all levels.
  • A good understanding of Windows desktop operating systems, server infrastructure, MS Office 365 software, and network components.
  • Full working rights in New Zealand; this role is not open for visa sponsorship.
