Job Description:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Farm Manager to oversee the daily management and operations of multiple farms located in the Pukekohe area. This role involves coordinating various aspects of crop farming, including groundwork, planting, harvesting, and crop rotations, to align with market plans. You will be responsible for managing a team of farm workers, collaborating with other managers, and maintaining equipment and materials. Safety and compliance are paramount in this role.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute crop farming activities in alignment with market plans.
• Lead, recruit, train, and develop a team of farm workers.
• Collaborate with agronomy, transport, and packhouse managers to meet customer requirements.
• Maintain equipment and materials in a clean and orderly manner.
• Operate trucks, forklifts, harvesters, and other machinery safely and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety and Food Safety systems.

Qualifications:

• 10 years of experience in all aspects of production and harvest of vegetable and arable crops with a minimum of 2-5 years of farm management experience.
• Certified Handler Certificate.
• Forklift Certificate with F endorsement.
• Full New Zealand Driver's Licence.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong ability to manage priorities.
• Physically fit.
