About the Role:

Ravensdown is seeking a driven and customer-focused Agri Manager for a permanent role based at our Taupo Store. As an Agri Manager, you will be a trusted advisor to farmers, helping them optimize their soil, pasture, crops, and animal husbandry practices while transitioning towards environmentally sustainable methods. Your role will contribute to reducing environmental impacts and maximizing land value through nutrient advice, services, and products. You will serve as a crucial link between Ravensdown and our farmer customers, delivering tailored solutions, building strong relationships, and promoting trust and credibility. The role primarily covers arable cropping customers in the Taupo area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute a customer visitation program to assess their needs and provide advice on suitable products and services, achieving sales targets.
  • Leverage available technology to benefit Ravensdown shareholders in terms of profitability and environmental leadership.
  • Develop a plan to help farmers reduce their environmental footprint and optimize land value.
  • Continuously enhance your skills and knowledge to meet end users' needs and expectations.

About You:

While increasing farmers' profitability is a primary focus, this role offers significant growth opportunities for your own career. With your agronomic qualification, industry experience, and knowledge of soil fertility and farming systems, you are well-positioned to thrive in this role.

Ideal Skills & Experience:

  • Solid understanding of farm systems, especially arable cropping.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to establish strong relationships.
  • Familiarity with the evolving landscape of New Zealand's environmental policies and their implications for farmers.
  • Tech-savvy, with knowledge of agricultural technology systems.
  • Ideally, a Bachelor's degree in agriculture or a related field.
