Tradestaff is embarking on a significant infrastructure project in Auckland's North Shore and is deeply committed to preserving the local wildlife throughout the endeavor. We are seeking a dedicated Wildlife Ranger with expertise in reptile relocation to join our team.

The Role:

As a Wildlife Ranger - Reptile Relocation Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in our mission to minimize the impact of the project on local reptile populations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Safely and humanely capturing reptiles using approved methods and equipment.
  • Ensuring the health and safety of both yourself and the reptiles during capture and handling.
  • Transporting and releasing captured reptiles to designated relocation sites, following best practices.
  • Maintaining accurate records of captures and relocations.
  • Reporting any unexpected findings or issues to project managers.

What We’re Looking For:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and qualities:

  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to keep accurate records.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Expertise in safely handling reptiles.
