Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Sow Farm Herdsperson for our Osceola, IA location. This full-time entry-level position is focused on providing excellent animal husbandry and general care at various stages of our Sow Farm operations.

Job Responsibilities:

Feed, water, and condition pigs to ensure their well-being.

Maintain environmental controls in the sow barns.

Administer vaccines, treatments, and perform necessary pig processing tasks.

Safely handle, move, and sort pigs as required.

Cross-train in various areas, including Breeding/Gestation, Farrowing, and Weaning.

Assist in the orientation and training of new team members.

Strictly adhere to and maintain all biosecurity protocols.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Preferred but not required: Minimum of 1 year of swine experience.

Preferred but not required: High School Degree or GED.

A strong work ethic, dedication to animal care, and a willingness to learn.
