About Us:

Rangitapu Station is a renowned 1100ha Sheep & Beef Station located at 283 Clareinch Road, Waipawa, nestled in the heart of Central Hawke's Bay, New Zealand. Our beautiful location is just a short 10-minute drive from local beaches, known for excellent fishing and diving, and a 20-minute drive to the nearest shops. Our station boasts diverse terrain, including 175ha of flats with 110ha under irrigation, 450ha of workable rolling land, and 470ha of steep hills, offering a wide range of experiences for your working dogs.

Our primary livestock focus is on trade lambs, with an annual goal of processing 15,000 lambs, primarily for Atkins Ranch, a supplier to "Whole Foods" in the USA. Additionally, our lamb pelts are sold to UGG for slippers. We maintain a breeding flock of 1800 "Kelso" Ewes that consistently scan above 180%, along with 650 mated hoggets. We annually purchase approximately 400 weaner steers and manage 115 MA Breeding Cows.

We are dedicated to modern farming practices and utilize cutting-edge technology such as a permanent conveyor belt and a "Te Pari" auto 5-way drafter. We collaborate with professional shearing contractors during busy periods for crutching lambs and employ crutching trailers for ewes when needed.
