About the Role:
We are currently seeking a Full-Time Quarry Operator to join our team at the Dipton Lime Quarry. As a Quarry Operator, you will be responsible for the efficient operation of the processing plant and machinery, ensuring the production of high-quality lime.
In this role, you will receive comprehensive training and mentorship from experienced operators, allowing you to safely operate heavy machinery, including bulldozers, loaders, excavators, ATD dump trucks, and our highly automated processing plant. The position may involve shift work at times, and you will be compensated with shift allowances.
About You:
While previous quarry experience is a definite advantage, we are also open to candidates with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. We are committed to investing the time and resources necessary to train and equip the right person to operate our plant equipment safely and effectively. Comfort with technology and embracing on-site automation is essential.

Essential Skills and Experience:
- Commitment to following all health and safety requirements.
- Mechanical skills and knowledge of basic repair work.
- Tech-savvy.
- Initiative and a strong desire to learn and contribute.
- Valid NZ Full driver's license.
- Reasonable physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy objects.
Ideal but not essential:
- Experience operating front-end loaders and relevant licenses (Class 2, W, and T endorsements desirable).
- Mobile plant or fixed processing plant experience is beneficial.
- Quarrying or Mining experience.
- An affiliation with the agriculture industry.
