Job Description:

Our client is an industry-leading poultry breeding company operating sophisticated facilities in Bodangora, NSW, and its surrounding areas. They are currently seeking 4 Poultry Farm Workers to join their team at their Bodangora farm in New South Wales, with a start date around 06th November 2023.

As a Poultry Farm Worker, you will be compensated above the award rate at $24.50 per hour and enjoy a 4-year full-time contract, averaging a minimum of 38 hours per week.

The Role:

• Work in a poultry environment with livestock-related odors and dust.
• Comfortably handle live and deceased birds with care and compassion.
• Collaborate effectively within a team.
• Engage in physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pest and vermin control.
• Operation of farming equipment.
• Preparation, cleaning, and maintenance of sheds and equipment.
• Bird handling and welfare activities.
• General maintenance of poultry farm grounds.
• Equipment cleaning and sanitizing.
• Dismantling of farm equipment.
• Egg collection, grading, and storage as per company specifications.

Key Skills & Experience:

To be considered for this role, you should meet the following criteria:

• Knowledge of and adherence to Animal Welfare codes.
• Familiarity with equipment and environmental management.
• Clear communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to interpret data and perform data entry.
• Strong grasp of Health & Safety practices.
• Absence of asthma or dust allergies.
• Physical fitness and readiness for labor-intensive duties.
• Team player mindset and comfort working with a multicultural team.
