We are seeking a passionate and driven Orchard Supervisor to join our team in Griffith, NSW, with a primary focus on nurturing our almond orchards.

Job Description:

As the Orchard Supervisor, you will be the driving force behind our almond orchard operations, responsible for ensuring the health, productivity, and sustainability of our almond trees. Your leadership and expertise will guide a dedicated team of orchard workers, contributing to the growth of our orchard and the production of top-quality almonds. This hands-on role is ideal for an experienced orchard professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is committed to implementing innovative agricultural practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day orchard operations, including planting, pruning, irrigation, pest control, and harvesting.

Monitor and maintain optimal tree health and growth through timely interventions and care.

Implement effective orchard maintenance schedules and tasks.

Supervise a team of orchard workers, providing guidance, training, and fostering a positive work environment.

Ensure compliance with safety protocols, industry regulations, and company policies.

Maintain accurate records of orchard activities, inventory, and equipment maintenance.

Collaborate with management to develop and execute annual orchard plans and budgets.

Troubleshoot and promptly resolve issues that may arise in orchard operations.

Implement sustainable and innovative practices to enhance orchard productivity and efficiency.

Conduct regular assessments and report on orchard performance and improvements.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in orchard management or a related field.

Knowledge of orchard cultivation, best practices, and industry trends.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.

Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

Basic computer skills.

Solid understanding of irrigation systems and pest control methods.

Problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.

Good communication skills for interacting with team members, vendors, and management.

Physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

A commitment to safety and adherence to protocols.

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

Driver's License.
