Job Description:

As part of our ongoing expansion and commitment to excellence, we are seeking a dedicated Orchard Farm Worker to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the maintenance and care of our orchards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, a passion for agriculture, and a willingness to learn and adapt to various tasks within the orchard.

Responsibilities:

As an Orchard Farm Worker at Kotla Horticulture Limited, you will be responsible for:

• Thinning fruit and pruning trees and plants.
• Operating farm machinery and driving tractors for routine daily maintenance.
• Repairing sprinkler systems and broken pipe fittings using hand tools.
• Repairing canopies and posts using hand and power tools.
• Cleaning, maintaining, and repairing buildings, yards, and fences.
• Building trellises for climbing vegetables and vines.
• Assisting with irrigation activities for crop growth.

Qualifications, Experience, and Attributes:

• No qualification or prior experience required.
• High personal hygiene and presentation standards.
• Ability to work in a high-paced and high-volume environment.
• Punctuality, organization, and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
• Teamwork abilities.
• Practical skills for maintenance and repair tasks.
• Driving skills for tractors or farm utility vehicles.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Pay & Benefits:

• Full-time permanent employment.
• Minimum of 30 hours/week guaranteed.
• Hourly rate varies from NZD 28/hour to 31/hour.
