About Us:
Rombola Family Farms, a leading horticultural business, invites an energetic and organized individual to be part of our Mataranka, NT, operation. We specialize in year-round melon and pumpkin supply, and we're on the lookout for a Grower to enhance our production team.
Role Overview:
As a Grower, you'll oversee the entire cropping process, from ground preparation to harvesting. Your expertise in crop management, irrigation, and pest control will be vital to our success.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure tasks align with production schedules.
Maintain high crop standards throughout the growth cycle.
Collaborate with the production team for optimal crop management.
Monitor crop health and quality.
Coordinate with agronomists and consultants.
Train and supervise staff and contractors.
Adhere to WH&S requirements.
Miscellaneous duties as needed.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years' horticulture management experience.
Extensive row cropping experience.
Crop health, production planning, and pest/disease management skills.
Agriculture qualifications preferred.
Strong communication and numerical skills.
Team player with flexibility in working hours.
Valid driver's license.
