About the Role:
We are currently seeking a Harvesting Manager to join our dynamic team in Mernda, Victoria. This is a full-time position with approximately 6 direct reports. Reporting to the Victorian State Manager, this role is an integral part of our leadership team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a similar role, demonstrating collaboration and strong relationship-building skills across the organization. The Harvesting Manager will take a proactive approach in leading and managing harvesting and post-harvest operations, driving strategies and initiatives to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide effective leadership and direction to the harvesting operations, aligning with operational plans, objectives, and targets.
- Ensure daily business compliance and corporate governance, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Establish and maintain measurable productivity and quality standards, meeting agreed speed to fridge targets.
- Implement waste management initiatives to drive cost reduction.
- Manage production costs within the agreed budget.
- Develop, coach, and nurture the capabilities of team members.
- Ensure compliance with all HACCP, SQF, and quality standards and procedures.
About You:
- Previous experience in the food/FMCG industry is preferred.
- Essential supervisory/leadership experience.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey messages accurately.
- Possess a Continuous Improvement mindset.
- Working knowledge of OH&S, HACCP, and SQF standards.
