About the Role:
At InterContinental Sorrento Mornington Peninsula, we understand that maintaining the excellence of our hotel is essential for our guests' experience. As a member of our maintenance team, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring our facilities run seamlessly. Your responsibilities will span from everyday repairs to forward-thinking preventive maintenance, all aimed at keeping our property in top condition. This includes minor repairs, upkeep of guest rooms, public areas, and lighting. With high standards that match our own, you'll approach each task with dedication and pride.
Key Responsibilities:
- Repair, replace, and refurbish items within the hotel.
- Maintain the safety and cleanliness of both indoor and outdoor areas of the precinct.
What We Need from You:
- Minimum of one year of maintenance or repair work experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of maintenance procedures, ideally within the hospitality industry, hotels/resorts, or similar environments (e.g., hospitals, schools, aged care facilities, shopping centers).
- Experience in some or all of the following areas: air conditioning, door lock systems, painting, tiling, plumbing, and general furniture repairs.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills across all departments.
- Ability to uphold high and consistent standards.
- Strong organizational skills and grooming standards.
- Availability to work a 7-day roster, including evenings, weekends, public holidays, and later finishes (up to 7:00pm).
- Full Australian working rights.
