Job Description:
As a Farm Hand, you will play a pivotal role in our client's crop production. Reporting to the Farm Manager, you will be responsible for key planting, growing, and harvesting activities, emphasizing the importance of forward planning and large-scale farming operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct general tractor work, operate seeders, self-propelled spray rigs, and other implements used in large-scale broadacre farms.
- Utilize Precision Ag Systems (Greenstar) for efficient crop management.
- Perform machinery infield maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
- Participate in ground preparation, harvesting, and loading activities.
- Collaborate closely with a dedicated permanent team, contractors, trades, and casual staff.
- Maintain a proactive and adaptable approach to farm tasks, showcasing practical innovation.
- Prioritize safety, well-being, and continuous learning.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in winter and summer broadacre crop production.
- Current vehicle license; HR & HC licenses would be advantageous.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and innovative mindset.
- Physical fitness, willingness to work outdoors, and eagerness to learn.
- Familiarity with Precision Ag Systems is a plus.
