Job Description:

As a Farm Supervisor at PEI Inc, you will play a crucial role in overseeing daily farming operations and ensuring that all tasks are carried out efficiently. You will work closely with our team to maintain the highest standards of productivity and quality. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising Farm Workers: Provide guidance, instruction, and supervision to farm workers to ensure tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
• Crop Management: Monitor crop health, growth, and quality. Implement pest and disease control measures as necessary.
• Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of farming equipment and machinery.
• Harvesting: Plan and coordinate harvesting activities, ensuring optimal timing and quality of crops.
• Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of crop yields, expenses, and labor hours.
• Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and ensure that all employees adhere to safety guidelines.
• Training: Train new employees on farming techniques, safety procedures, and company policies.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Farm Supervisor or similar role in a farming environment.
• Extensive knowledge of crop management, equipment operation, and agricultural practices.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work long hours during peak seasons.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
• Valid driver's license.

Salary and Hours:

• Hourly wage: $16.50
• Weekly hours: 35 to 60 hours per week

Education:

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Work Environment:

• Farming site environment: Fruit and vegetable combination farming
