The Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Farm Manager to oversee our four Bull farms and Innovation Dairy Farm, strategically located in the Manawatu and Waikato regions. This senior-level position is pivotal in setting the vision, strategy, and culture for these farms, ensuring they align with LIC's goals and drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day farm operations, including animal care, pasture and feed management, semen production, health and safety, and compliance with industry regulations and quality standards.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans and policies for the Bull farms, in alignment with company objectives and industry best practices.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire your team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Manage farm budgets, resource allocation, cost control, quality management, capital improvements, and productivity.
  • Advocate for sustainable farming practices, environmental care, and resource efficiency across all farm activities.
  • Provide leadership within LIC Operations, collaborating with National Managers in Herd Testing, Artificial Breeding, Diagnostics, and FarmWise Consultants.
