Position Overview:

As a Farmhand/Machinery Operator, you will be an essential member of our farming team. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks, including tractor and machinery operation, teamwork, and assisting the farm manager in various farming activities, such as cultivation, planting, harvesting, and general property maintenance. If you have a forklift ticket or an HC Truck license, that's a significant advantage. Ideally, our preferred candidate will also have horticultural or agricultural experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate tractors and machinery efficiently and safely.
• Collaborate effectively within a team environment.
• Assist the farm manager in the cultivation, planting, growing, and harvesting of pineapples and sugarcane.
• Contribute to general property maintenance tasks.
• Possess or be willing to obtain a forklift ticket (advantageous).
• Hold an HC Truck license (advantageous).
• Demonstrate horticultural or agricultural experience (preferred).

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in farm machinery operation is highly regarded.
• Ability to work well within a team and follow instructions.
• A forklift ticket and HC Truck license are advantageous but not mandatory.
• Horticultural or agricultural experience is preferred.
• A genuine passion for farming and agriculture.
• Physical fitness and willingness to engage in outdoor, physically demanding tasks.
