We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Farm Assistant to join our team and assist the Farm Manager with daily farm operations.
Job Description:
As a Farm Assistant at Grant Stokes, your responsibilities will include:
- Milking: Assisting with milking operations.
- Daily Farm Tasks: Carrying out daily tasks such as effluent irrigation, spreading fertilizers, weed control, tractor work, and monitoring.
- Support Blocks: Assisting on two support blocks when required.
- Cleanliness: Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness in the cowshed and provided accommodation.
- Training: Willingness to learn and receive training for unfamiliar tasks. Opportunities for career advancement through training courses.
- Compliance: Adherence to a drug-free policy and no dog policy on the farm.
- Driver's License: Possessing a valid driver's license and eligibility to work in New Zealand.
Accommodation: One-bedroom self-contained unit suitable for a single person, to be kept clean and tidy.
Remuneration: Total package value of $45,000 (Negotiable) including salary and benefits.

- Farm Size (Ha): 60
- Peak Cows: 180
- On-Farm Staff: 2
- Facilities: Flat farm with a 26-aside herringbone shed, in-shed feeding. Predominantly Ayrshire cows.
