We manage 240 hectares of land and milk 600 cows twice a day. Our commitment to progressive and sustainable farming practices has earned us a strong reputation in the industry. We are currently seeking a dedicated Farm Assistant to join our team.

Job Description:

As a Farm Assistant at Macmar Farms, you will be an integral part of our close-knit team of 4 enthusiastic and contented staff members. Our unique setup allows for partner involvement in calf rearing and relief milking, making this a fantastic opportunity for those seeking work-life balance. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the milking of 600 cows twice a day.
• Operating and maintaining farm machinery and equipment.
• Utilizing your 1-2 years of farming experience, preferably in dairying.
• Competently managing day-to-day farm tasks.
• Adhering to our 6-day on, 2-day off roster system.
• Receiving weekly remuneration based on your experience.
• Enjoying the convenience of a provided 4-bedroom home with a lockup garage.
• The position is available from 1st September 2023.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1-2 years of farming experience, ideally in dairying.
• Competence in operating farm machinery and equipment.
• Willingness to work within a rostered schedule.
• Ability to provide a CV.
• A valid driver's license may be required.
