About the Role:

Ravensdown is seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Agri Manager for a permanent role based out of our Taupo Store. As an Agri Manager, you will be a trusted advisor to farmers, helping them optimize their soil, pasture, crops, and animals while transitioning toward environmentally sustainable practices. Your role will be pivotal in reducing environmental impacts and maximizing land value by providing nutrient advice, services, and products.

You will serve as a key link between our farmers and Ravensdown, playing a crucial part in their business success by delivering the products, support, and innovative solutions they rely on us for. This role is primarily field-based, focusing on identifying farmers' needs, offering tailored solutions, and building strong relationships based on trust, credibility, and mutual respect. The role is based out of the Taupo Store and covers customers in the surrounding area, with a significant proportion of arable cropping customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement a customer visitation program, assessing their needs, and providing advice on the most suitable products and services to achieve sales targets.
• Utilize available technology to enhance Ravensdown's profitability and environmental leadership for shareholders.
• Develop strategies to reduce environmental impacts and maximize land value.
• Ensure that end users' needs and expectations are met through continuous skill and knowledge development.

While helping farmers increase their profitability is a key focus of this role, you'll also experience significant career growth. Ideal Skills & Experience:

• Strong knowledge of farm systems, especially arable cropping.
• Excellent communication skills, with a knack for building strong relationships.
• Understanding of the evolving landscape of New Zealand's environmental policy and its implications for farmers.
• Tech-savvy with knowledge of agricultural technology systems.
• Ideally, a Bachelor's degree in agriculture or a related field.
