To support our growth, we are seeking three dedicated Supervisors to join our team and contribute to the success of our orchard operations.

Job Description:

As an Orchard Supervisor at RS Grow Limited, you will play a key role in assisting the Orchard Manager in the day-to-day running and on-site activities. You will be responsible for managing a team of both permanent and seasonal workers, ensuring efficient orchard operations, and maintaining a top-quality product year after year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead a team in all aspects of orchard horticulture.
• Assist the Orchard Manager in budget management and maximizing operational efficiency.
• Implement quality, health and safety, and continuous improvement systems.
• Prepare accurate timesheets, reports, and communicate with farmers, growers, and staff.
• Operate basic orchard machinery as per seasonal needs.
• Develop and train team members to succeed in their roles.

Qualifications and Experience:

• At least 12 months of experience in the horticulture or farming industry with supervisory responsibilities.
• Preferred: Management qualification.
• Proven ability in managing large horticultural or farming operations.
• Experience in developing and training team members.
• Strong organizational skills, goal-focused, and able to make decisions under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills (both written and spoken).

Pay and Hours:

• Pay rate: $30.00 per hour.
• Minimum of 30 hours per week.
• Operating hours: 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, 7 days a week (weather-dependent).

Additional Information:

• This position requires some travel within the Bay of Plenty region; applicants must have their own transport.
• Applicants must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
