Primary Purpose of the Role:

As a Marketing Executive, you will be a crucial part of our Marketing & Commercial Operations team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing, planning, executing, and reviewing integrated marketing plans across High Performance Cricket, Community Cricket, and Commercial Operations.
  • Crafting engaging media communications, including press releases, articles, emails, and social media content to effectively showcase the organization's activities, accomplishments, and initiatives.
  • Managing and enhancing Canterbury Cricket's presence on social media platforms, curating captivating content, and fostering an active and interactive online community.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders, such as players, coaches, and executives, to gather insights and information for impactful marketing content.
  • Contributing to the formation of strategic partnerships and collaborations to expand the organization's visibility within the cricketing community.
  • Creating visually appealing graphics, presentations, and marketing materials using tools like InDesign and/or Canva.
  • Coordinating with external design agencies when necessary to develop templates and creative assets.

Skills and Experience:

  • 3+ years of proven experience in marketing, communications, or media roles, ideally within the sports industry.
  • Proficiency in managing social media platforms and a successful track record of social media management.
  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms and experience creating automated email campaigns.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling content tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in graphic design tools such as InDesign and/or Canva.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
