Position: Farm Supervisor

Location: Surrey, BC

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and coordinate the work of general farm workers and harvesting laborers
• Develop work schedules, establish procedures, and ensure adherence to farm safety and bio-security protocols
• Lead various crop-related activities, from mixing fertilizer to harvesting
• Supervise shearing with a knife and weeding operations
• Maintain accurate financial and production records
• Coordinate and provide crop services such as plowing, cultivating, and spraying
• Supervise more than 20 team members, ensuring quality control and adherence to production goals
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
• Collaborate with management to optimize crop growth and quality
• Foster a safe, productive, and positive work environment

Requirements:

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant farming experience
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to oversee a large team
• Knowledge of modern farming practices and equipment
• Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
• Physical fitness to perform various farm tasks
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
