Role Overview:

Veolia is seeking a dedicated Developments Engineer with a passion for water infrastructure to join their dynamic New Zealand Developments team in Papakura. Reporting to the Developments Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and delivering new development and subdivision projects across Veolia’s South Auckland operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain key stakeholder relationships while ensuring project deliverables are met.
  • Assist in managing water, wastewater, and stormwater catchment in compliance with council regulations.
  • Monitor construction and perform compliance inspections to ensure infrastructure adheres to engineering drawings, specifications, and codes of practice.
  • Handle scoping, design, specification, and procurement of infrastructure for small-scale projects.
  • Collaborate with the Technical team (PTAG) to manage and deliver projects related to infrastructure services.
  • Conduct infrastructure asset management tasks, including asset condition assessments.
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to achieve high-quality infrastructure outcomes.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or related disciplines of Engineering.
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or with infrastructure planning, design, and installation (support will be provided for settling into the role).
  • Strong team collaboration skills, proactive attitude, and results-driven approach.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
