Job Description:

As a Dairy Farm Assistant at Hitchcox Farming Ltd, you'll have the opportunity to embark on an exciting journey in dairy farming. We're looking for individuals who are eager to learn and willing to become integral members of our team. Whether you have previous experience or are new to the industry, we offer on-the-job training to help you thrive in your role. Join us in maintaining our herd of 1100 cows and ensuring the smooth operation of our 54 bail rotary sheds.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in milking and managing a large dairy herd.
• Participate in daily farm duties, including feeding, cleaning, and maintenance.
• Work collaboratively with a team of fellow farm assistants and our experienced staff.
• Embrace on-the-job training and skill development opportunities.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and contribute to a positive farm culture.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Motivated and eager to learn about dairy farming.
• Physically fit and capable of performing heavy lifting and manual tasks.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to work as part of a team.
• No prior experience required; training will be provided.
• Availability to work on public holidays and a willingness to relocate if needed.
