Workforce Australia, in collaboration with our client in Glossodia, NSW, is currently seeking up to 50 dedicated and reliable individuals for the role of Vegetable Packing Worker. Join our team and be a part of the exciting vegetable production industry!

Job Description:

As a Vegetable Packing Worker, you will be involved in various tasks related to the planting, pruning, harvesting, sorting, bunching, and packing of vegetables. This dynamic role requires nimble-fingered individuals who are physically fit and able to work in various weather conditions. The position is casual and contract-based, with a minimum commitment of 5 days per week and the potential for additional weekend work throughout the season (approximately 6-9 months).

Key Responsibilities:

• Planting, pruning, harvesting, sorting, and packing fresh vegetables
• Regular lifting, standing, and bending to ensure efficient picking and packing
• Adherence to company quality assurance (QA) and occupational health and safety (OH&S) standards
• Working collaboratively as part of a team to achieve production targets

Requirements:

• Availability to start work from August 2023
• Commitment to a minimum of 5 days per week, with potential weekend work
• Flexibility in availability, as horticultural work is weather-driven and intermittent
• Physically fit and able to handle outdoor work conditions
• Driver's license and own transport to access the farm
• Ability to follow instructions, work in a team, and maintain a positive attitude
