PGG Wrightson Seeds, a leading proprietary seed company and part of the global DLF Group, is seeking a skilled and motivated Sales Agronomist to join our team. We are dedicated to enhancing the profitability and resilience of farmers and growers through our innovative forage products. This role covers the East Coast territory of the North Island, and a home base within the region is essential.

As a Sales Agronomist, you will play a crucial role in building strong relationships with retailers and key stakeholders in the agriculture industry. Your responsibilities will include promoting and selling our range of forage products, providing on-farm agronomic support, and executing territory business plans to achieve targets. You will have the opportunity to work with a suite of proven high-performance products and collaborate with a successful and motivated team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain relationships with retailers and key stakeholders to build a strong sales pipeline.
• Promote and sell our forage products, including grasses, legumes, herbs, clovers, and brassicas, to maximize revenue growth and market share.
• Provide on-farm agronomic support and conduct local product demonstrations.
• Develop and execute territory business plans to achieve agreed targets.
• Identify and explore new growth opportunities by positioning new and existing products to fit desired farm systems.
• Plan and coordinate technical agronomist activities to increase awareness of PGG Wrightson Seeds proprietary products among retailers, key influencers, and farmers.

Skills & Experience:

• Strong agricultural background and enthusiasm for the industry.
• Proven experience in sales of forage products or related agricultural products.
• Knowledge of New Zealand farm systems, farming practices, and a solution-focused approach.
• Strong questioning, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage a large territory, utilizing technology to enhance sales and service.
• Familiarity with the East Coast region of New Zealand's North Island and its agricultural landscape.
• Willingness to travel frequently within the territory.
