Job Description:

As a Fruit Farm Worker, you will play a crucial role in various aspects of our orchard operations, including planting, cultivating, and harvesting fruit. Your responsibilities will include tasks such as planting trees, operating farm machinery, spraying crops, picking and packing produce, and ensuring quality standards are met throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Planting trees, seeds, and seedlings using hand tools and machinery
• Operating farm machines for cultivation, fertilization, spraying, and harvesting
• Applying chemicals for weed control and pest management
• Thinning, pruning, and maintaining crops
• Irrigating land to promote crop growth
• Selecting, picking, and sorting fruit based on size and ripeness
• Packing produce into containers for distribution
• Loading filled fruit containers onto trucks

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working on orchards in New Zealand
• Familiarity with orchard practices and industry standards
• Ability to operate farm machinery and tools
• Knowledge of crop cultivation, pruning, and pest control
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual labor
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Valid work rights in New Zealand
