Job Overview:

We are currently seeking motivated and dependable individuals to join our team as Fish Farm Workers in Union Bay, BC. As a Fish Farm Worker, you will be responsible for various tasks related to fish farming, including feeding, equipment maintenance, enclosure cleaning, and stock handling. Requirements:

  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Willingness to learn and train on the job
  • Ability to work in cold/refrigerated environments and in/on water
  • Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination
  • Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and handle weights up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
  • Dependability, flexibility, initiative, and good judgment
  • Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid Canadian work permit is required

Responsibilities:

  • Feed aquaculture stock following established procedures
  • Operate, maintain, and clean pumps, filters, and other aquaculture equipment
  • Clean and maintain aquaculture enclosures to ensure a clean and healthy environment for fish
  • Assist in the transfer of stock to tanks in trucks and pack stock in special containers
  • Participate in the harvesting, cleaning, sorting, grading, and packing of shellfish
  • Weigh and record aquaculture stocks accurately
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a fast-paced work environment
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient farm operations
