• Oversee the daily operations of our 800-spring-calving herd on our large, family-owned organic dairy farm.
• Manage and empower a team of skilled permanent staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
• Prioritize animal health and welfare, ensuring best practices and high standards are upheld.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of pasture management, including fencing and water reticulation.
• Utilize your experience in effective team management, excellent communication, and leadership skills.
• Embrace the latest technology, including the Delaval plant with Del-pro and cow manager, to optimize farm performance.
• Maintain a clean and organized farm environment, reflecting your pride and dedication to your work.
• Uphold a commitment to health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment for all.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience managing medium to large dairy farms.
• Proven track record in effective team management and leadership.
• Deep knowledge of animal welfare practices and a strong commitment to their well-being.
• Familiarity with pasture management techniques, including fencing and water reticulation.
• Strong understanding of health and safety requirements in a farming environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to empower and motivate your team.
• Valid work visa for New Zealand and residing within the country.
• Willingness to undergo pre-employment drug, police, and medical checks.
