Caretaker job in Muriwai, New Zealand

Are you a dedicated and hardworking individual with experience in caretaking, gardening, and maintenance? Parihoa Farm is seeking a reliable and self-motivated Caretaker to join our team. As a Caretaker, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our grounds, ensuring the smooth operation of our accommodation, events venue, and working farm.

Position: Caretaker

Location: Parihoa Farm, Muriwai

Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily checks of buildings and grounds
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks
• Maintain and clean the pool
• Carry out grounds maintenance activities such as mowing, weed eating, spraying, and trimming
• Clean outdoor areas and building exteriors as needed
• Clean and move vehicles as required
• Manage waste disposal
• Maintain and clean tools and equipment
• Be available to respond to calls outside of working hours
• Plan, care for, and maintain gardens, including vegetable gardens, in a coastal environment

Qualifications and Skills:

• Full driver's license
• Previous experience in a similar or relatable role
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
• Strong physical fitness and ability to perform various manual tasks
• Building maintenance or home handyman skills are advantageous
• Availability to start on Monday, 10th June

Remuneration:

• Full-time position (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday)
• Remuneration: Salary
