Are you a dedicated and hardworking individual with experience in caretaking, gardening, and maintenance? Parihoa Farm is seeking a reliable and self-motivated Caretaker to join our team. As a Caretaker, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our grounds, ensuring the smooth operation of our accommodation, events venue, and working farm.
Position: Caretaker
Location: Parihoa Farm, Muriwai
Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily checks of buildings and grounds
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks
- Maintain and clean the pool
- Carry out grounds maintenance activities such as mowing, weed eating, spraying, and trimming
- Clean outdoor areas and building exteriors as needed
- Clean and move vehicles as required
- Manage waste disposal
- Maintain and clean tools and equipment
- Be available to respond to calls outside of working hours
- Plan, care for, and maintain gardens, including vegetable gardens, in a coastal environment
Qualifications and Skills:
- Full driver's license
- Previous experience in a similar or relatable role
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
- Strong physical fitness and ability to perform various manual tasks
- Building maintenance or home handyman skills are advantageous
- Availability to start on Monday, 10th June
Remuneration:
- Full-time position (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday)
